Salads - Triple Cheddar Fruit Kabobs

Dressing Ingredients

2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar 25 mL
1 tbsp Maple Syrup 15 mL
1 tsp Dijon Mustard 5 mL
1/3 cup Vegetable Oil 75 mL
  Salt and Pepper to taste  

Kabob Ingredients

8 cups Baby spinach (or Boston lettuce leaves), washed and dried 2 L
4 oz. Balderson Mild Cheddar 125 g
4 oz. Balderson Marble Cheddar 125 g
4 oz. Balderson Medium Cheddar 125 g
8 Bamboo Skewers 8
1 Royal Gala Apple 1
16 Green or Red grapes (or any seasonal fruit) 16
1/4 Walnuts, toasted and chopped (optional) 50 mL


  • Pour all dressing ingredients into screw-top jar. Seal jar and shake well
  • Season to taste, and set aside
  • Divide greens among 4 dinner plates
  • Cut each cheese into 8 cubes, making 24 cubes in all
  • Thread I cube of each kind of cheese onto each skewer, alternating with pieces of fruit
  • Place 2 skewers on each salad
  • Drizzle with dressing
  • Sprinkle with walnuts, if desired
