1896 Candle Co., was named after the date our family homestead, in Lanark County, was built. Five generations later, the home still offers our family comfort, solitude, and moments to get back to nature. Things are simpler on the farm, but beautiful.
This is what we hope our candles bring to your home through our carefully curated scents- moments of peace, cozy moments, or memories with family and friends. The design of our candles are kept simple, so they can be appreciated in any home.

Scent: Sleigh Ride was curated from stories of past family members traveling to family members homes on Christmas and New Year's Day by horse drawn sleigh. Dashing through the snow with the smell of crisp pine in the air. Our sleigh ride scent is a mix of pine, a little orange and vanilla.
